Give the Gift of Comfort & Joy this holiday season!

Debbie is getting ready for the holidays.  This time of year evokes all kinds of emotions brought upon us with the twinkling lights, the smell of hot chocolate and Christmas cookies or the crackling of a fire.  Nothing matters more than the feeling of comfort, a home filled with warmth – both literally and figuratively.  But unlike you and I, the focus for Debbie isn’t on trimming trees and stringing lights, rather it’s whether she will have a warm hat, boots, mittens and winter coat this year.

Many of the individuals we support live on very low incomes, often falling below the poverty line.  In addition, for some of them there are no family members to offer support.   And while most of their basic needs are covered, there is rarely money left over for comforts – little luxuries that most of us take for granted – like new pajamas, a warm robe, new bedding and pillows or even the opportunity to replace a well-worn frying pan…

Together, we can bring the holiday’s home for all of the 110 individuals residing in our group homes or that are a part of our supported living program.

With your support, we can ensure that each and every one of these individuals receives the gift of comfort and joy this year.
